It is reported that Hyundai Microelectronics will construct five 50,000-tonne medium-sized product tankers at its Vinashin Shipyard in Vietnam. TMC will be responsible for providing air compressors and associated air dryers and filters for each vessel this time.
Hans Petter Tanum, President of Sales and Business Development at TMC, said: "These vessels require a lot of air and air-control systems, so owners choose a more than average capacity marine compressor system and, more importantly, an energy-efficient System, the crew can carry out their own maintenance, which saves operating costs for the owners of the ship. It is also understood that TMC has also obtained an alternative contract for the delivery of the same equipment for the 6th product tanker, which is also an alternative to the shipowner DSD Shipping Company to build a ship at Hyundai Miaowu.
