Spirit Energy, an exploration and development joint venture between Centrica and Bayerngas Norge, recently leased three utility work vessels (AHTS) on the spot market for mobile drilling platforms.
According to VesselsValue, Spirit Energy has leased the AHTS "Havila Jupiter", "Normand Prosper" and "KL Saltfjord" for 21 days. The three AHTS will be responsible for moving the island's semi-submersible drilling platform "Island Innovator" to a drilling site offshore Norway.(welding overlay,flange,pipe spooling)
The three AHTS began charter on January 30, and the contract is expected to close by February 19. Among them, "Havila Jupiter" and "Normand Prosper" daily rates are 120000 NOK (about 15500 US dollars), "KL Saltfjord" daily rent of 125000 NOK (about 16200 US dollars).
Earlier this month, Spirit Energy obtained(welding overlay,flange,pipe spooling) a drilling permit from the Norwegian Petroleum Authority (NPD) to use the Island Innovator for drilling at the Fogelberg project in the Norwegian Sea.
"Island Innovator" is GM4000-based design and delivered by COSCO SHIPPING in 2012 to DNV GL. Currently, Island Innovator is owned by Island Drilling and Odfjell Drilling operates.
