China, Japan and South Korea shipping enterprises opened in 2018 "grab a single war"

South Korea was worried about the beginning of the monopoly battle in 2018 when Japanese shipbuilders took over orders for new ships and hand-held orders surpassed those of South Korean shipping companies. South Korea's Economic Network recently published an article that South Korean shipping companies in January this year, the performance of orders than Japan's shipping companies, one of the reasons is that South Korea's shipbuilding industry is currently in the restructuring period, Japan's shipbuilding enterprises to create an opportunity to go-ahead; in the future In the future period, the competition between South Korean shipping companies and Japanese shipping companies will become even more intense.

According to the statistics of Clarke Research, in January 2018, a total of 85 new ships orders were made by the global shipbuilding industry, totaling a total of about 2.868 million CGTs, doubling the figure of the same period of last year.

Among them, South Korean shipping companies received orders for 17 new ships, a total of 662,000 CGT, accounting for CGT accounted for 23.1% of the total global orders; Japanese shipping companies to obtain orders for new ships 20, a total of 721,000 CGT, accounting for about 25.2%, a substantial increase over the same period of last year. In January last year, South Korean shipping companies to undertake orders for new vessels accounted for about 33% of the total, Japan's shipping rate was only about 4%, from this it appears that the Japanese shipping companies opened in 2018 opened a beautiful new order battle".

In hand-held orders, Japanese shipping companies also slightly ahead of South Korean shipping companies. As of early February 2018, Japanese shipping companies held orders of 16,097,000 CGTs while Korean shipping companies held orders of 15,248,000 CGTs.

Clarke statistics show that in January 2000, South Korea's shipping companies to catch up with Japanese shipbuilding orders, while Japan's shipbuilding company in 2016 November to go-ahead. Since then, Japan and South Korea shipping companies holding orders in the "You chase me catch" "keep pace." At the end of January 2018, orders from South Korean shipping companies were higher than those from Japanese shipping companies; however, after entering February, Japanese shipping companies also caught up with the leading shipping companies in Korea.

Korean media analysts said Japan's shipbuilding industry in recent years focused on the field of environmentally friendly ship construction, and the International Maritime Organization (IMO) is stepping up the implementation of relevant policies and regulations to protect the marine and atmospheric environment, we can foresee the future of South Korean shipping companies and Japanese shipping companies The competition will be more intense.

In January this year, Chinese shipping companies received 41 orders for new ships, totaling 1.165 million CGTs, accounting for about 40.6%, far ahead of Japan and South Korea's shipping companies.
