Hoegh LNG announced on February 7 that its FSRU "Hoegh Giant", a subsidiary of the company, has a term charter agreement with Gas Natural SDG, SA (Gas Natural Fenosa) owned by the Spanish natural gas utility company, with an initial lease term of 3 years, Contains a renewal extension option.(welding overlay,flange,pipe spooling)
The Hoegh Giant was delivered by Hyundai Heavy Industries on April 27, 2017 and is currently operating as an LNG carrier until it has a 20-year agreement with Quantum Power Company of Ghana from 2018 onwards. At the same time, charterer has the right to choose whether to extend the 5-year lease.(welding overlay,flange,pipe spooling)
It is learned that the "Hoegh Giant" FSRU lease before the entry into force, the company will be Gas Natural Fenosa fleet for trade, daily income for the LNG ship spot market, the same day rates.
Under an agreement with Gas Natural Fenosa, the "Hoegh Giant" will travel to the U.S. Sabine Pass through the Panama Canal to load the first shipment.
Hoegh LNG currently also has three FSRUs under construction, to be delivered in the first quarter of 2018, the fourth quarter of 2018 and the second quarter of 2019 respectively.
