DNV GL made significant upgrades to the Nauticus Hull software to better support the new DNV GL specifications and IACS requirements. The new software includes the DNV GL Code for Classification of Ships and the IACS Bulk Carrier and Tanker Structural Specifications covering a wide range of advanced tools ranging from standard calculations to finite element structural analysis.(welding overlay, flange, pipe spooling)
"We are pleased to see the Nauticus Hull V20 version coming out," said Geir Dugstad, DNV GL Director of Marine Advocacy, "This new release will be the most efficient normative computing tool on the market, and the Nautus Hull V20 will increase efficiency, quality , Providing superior design support is yet another major move to make the DNV GL specification the industry's favorite standard. "
Due to the new hull specifications and IACS requirements to expand the hull design range, efficient normative computing tools play a key role in the design and development to meet regulatory requirements. Nauticus Hull 20 has a new, modern user interface and powerful modeling and compliance checking capabilities. The Section Scantlings, a hull scale design program, has been completely renewed, combining the modeling, analysis and results viewer into one user environment. In addition, new features for cross-section specification calculations have been added - including stern impact, ice classification and connection area requirements.(welding overlay, flange, pipe spooling)
This new version was developed in cooperation with major shipyards and ship design houses to better understand user requirements. DNV GL works with designers and drawing engineers to remove obstacles for effective use of this tool. In the future development cycle, DNV GL will continue to expand its software capabilities and optimize the workflow of different ship types.(welding overlay, flange, pipe spooling)
All customers currently have access to the Nauticus Hull V20 via a valid support agreement. Training courses have also been carried out around the world, allowing users to familiarize themselves with the latest features of the software as soon as possible.
