Transocean has a new lease in hand worth $10.2 billion

Transocean, the offshore drilling contractor, recently won more drilling work for its drilling vessels, making the total amount of contracts in hand exceed 10 billion US dollars.            

Transocean said that since the last fleet status report was released in October 2019, the value of the company's new charter party has reached $366 million, and the total value of the contract in hand has increased to $10.2 billion.           

 According to the latest report, leiv eiriksson, a semi submersible drilling platform, has obtained two drilling contracts in Norway, one involving the drilling of 2 + 1 + 1 + 1 wells and the other involving the drilling of one well.            

Currently, leiiv eiriksson is serving ConocoPhillips, and the contract is scheduled to expire in March 2020. From June to July 2020, the drilling platform will start to perform the spirit energy contract, with a daily rental of $225000. After that, the platform will serve ConocoPhillips again from July until the end of November this year, with a daily rent of $235000.            

In the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, the drilling ship "discoverer inspiration" was contracted by Talos to be responsible for the drilling of 3 + 1 + 1 + 1 oil wells, with a daily rental of US $210000. It is planned to start in April 2020 and end in July 2020.            

The drilling vessel "discoverer inspiration" has obtained a charter party of Woodside in Myanmar, which is planned to start in April 2021 and end in August 2021, with a daily rental of 250000 US dollars
